In a room 610cm x 244cm there are two wall mounted projection screens facing each other. In front of the screen on the left sits an Macintosh G5 computer. In front of the other screen there is a model of 25 geometric cuboids laid in grid. A virtual replication of the physical model is contained in the computer. The computer controls two stepper motors which in turn control the movements of a miniature camera, mounted on a custom built track incorporated into the physical model. The vibrations from the speaker oscillate an ink nib which draws seismographic-like notations on a fixed sheet of paper. A rotating swing-arm carries the speaker and drawing apparatus. The mathematical element of the project is further expressed through the spiral format of the kinetic drawings. In creating circular linear motions in which each rotation draws closer to the centre, the dynamics of the spiral movement are expressed.
